Twin Darts Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut TWO (2) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ strips. (These will be flanked on both sides, by the White 3″ x 3 1/2″ strips, as needed for this quilt block.
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ strips. (These will flank on both sides, the White 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ strips, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 7/8″ squares, which will make FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. You only need TWO (2) of these triangles for this quilt block. (These will be paired with the results of the White 7 1/4″ square, to create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. This will also be the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ strips. (These will be flanked on both sides, by the Blue 3″ x 3 1/2″ strips, as needed for this quilt block.
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ strips. (These will flank on both sides, the Blue 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ strips, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue 3 7/8″ squares, which will make FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. You only need TWO (2) of these triangles for this quilt block. (These will be paired with the results of the Blue 7 1/4″ square, to create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. This will also be the center of this quilt block.)
