# Star Power: Coronation Star Quilt Block & Coronation Star Variation Quilt Block

**Coronation Star Quilt Block**

**Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block** (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

**Teal:**Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 7 1/4″ square to create FOUR (4) of the larger Flying Geese needed for this quilt block.)**Purple:**Cut FIVE (5) 2 1/4″ squares. On the back side of the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These will be paired with the White 2 1/4″ squares to create FIVE (5) Half-Square Triangles needed for this quilt block.)**Purple:**Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
