Star Power: Flower Star Quilt Block & Flower Star Variation Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2″ squares, to create FOUR (4) Four-Patch Squares. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares which will create a Nine-Patch Square. They’ll also create the center of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 7 1/4″ squares, which will create the FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Green 2″ squares, to create FOUR (4) Four-Patch Squares. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FIVE (5) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Green 2 1/2″ squares which will create a Nine-Patch Square. They’ll also create the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the the results of the Green 3 7/8″ squares, which will create the FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)

(These are paired with the results of the Orange 4 1/4″ squares, which will flank the results of the White 7 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the the results of the Orange 4 1/4″ squares & the White 4 1/4″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese as needed for this quilt block.)
