Honeymoon Star Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Dark Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the Light Pink
2 7/8″ squares which will help create the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.) - Dark Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- Light Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- Light Pink: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the White 5 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Light Pink 2 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Light Pink 5 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)

- Lilac: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/8″ square. (This is flanked by the results of the Purple 2 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. It’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Purple: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- Purple: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Lilac 3 3/8″ square, which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Purple: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the White 5 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
