Arching Tree Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares.
- Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 3/4″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
- Dark Green: Cut SEVEN (7) 2 1/2″ squares.
- Dark Green: Cut ONE (1) 2 3/4″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles.
- Dark Green: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square.
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares.
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 3/4″ squares. (These will be paired with the Green 2 3/4″ squares to create half-square triangles. You only need SEVEN (7) half-square triangles to make this quilt block.
- White: Cut ONE (1) 2 3/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles.

If you make TWELVE (12) “Arching Tree Quilt Blocks,” you will end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
