Arrow Points Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Lt. Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 4 1/4″ square which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
- Lt. Blue: Cut EIGHT (8) 3 1/2″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the results of the White
2 3/8″ squares. Which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners as needed for this quilt block.) - Blue: Cut TWENTY (20) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Nine-Patch blocks. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the White 2 3/8″ squares & will help create the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Nine-Patch blocks. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These squares are to be used with the Light Blue 3 1/2″ squares to make the Snowball Corners.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the Lt. Blue 2 3/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese as needed for this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Arrow Points Quilt Blocks,” you’ll end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
