The Village Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Green: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 1 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Dk. Green 1 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Nine-Patch blocks, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Green: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are flanked on ONE (1) side by the Nine-Patch blocks & on ONE (1) other side by the results of the White 3 7/8″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Green: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Dk. Green: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 1 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Green 1 1/2″ squares & the White 1 1/2″ squares. They’ll help create FOUR (4) Nine-Patch blocks as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Dk. Green 1 1/2″ squares, which will help create FOUR (4) Nine-Patch blocks, as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Green 3 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
