
Divinity Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Pink: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are flanked by the White 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create a Square in a Square.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Pink 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These will flank the Pink 4 3/4″ square which will create a Square in a Square. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. (These will flank the Pink 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Divinity Quilt Blocks,†you’ll end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
