Cobra Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

Gold: Cut TEN (10) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Rust 2 1/2″ squares. ONE (1) of these squares is the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block. Another ONE (1) of these squares is the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block. When all sewn together they’ll create a “frame” around the Cobras in the center of this quilt block.)
Gold: Cut ONE (1) 4 5/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are flanked by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese.)
Rust: Cut TEN (10) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Gold 2 1/2″ squares. ONE (1) of these squares is the lower right-hand corner of this quilt block. Another ONE (1) of these squares is the upper left-hand corner of this quilt block. When all sewn together they’ll create a “frame” around the Cobras in the center of this quilt block.)
Rust: Cut ONE (1) 4 5/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are flanked by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese.)
Burnt Sienna: Cut FOUR (4) 2 5/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Burnt Sienna
2 5/8″ x 4″ rectangles which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners in the center of this quilt block.)
Burnt Sienna: Cut TWO (2) 2 5/8″ x 4″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Burnt Sienna 2 5/8″ x 4″ rectangles which will create FOUR (4) Snowball corners in the center of this quilt block. They’re flanked by the results of the White 3 3/8″ squares.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the results of the Gold 4 5/8″ square which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 2 5/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the results of the Rust 4 5/8″ square which will create TWO (2) Flying Geese.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the Burnt Sienna 2 5/8″ by 4″ rectangles in the center of this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

Teal: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Sky Blue 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)
Teal: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. Only THREE (3) of these triangles are needed for this quilt block. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Sky Blue 5 1/4″ square. They’re also paired with the results of the Lt. Blue 5 1/4″ square. When all sewn together they’ll create THREE (3) Quarter-Square Triangles.)
Teal: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square. (This is the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block.)
Sky Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)
Sky Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 5/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Teal 5 1/4″ square. They’re also paired with the results of the Lt. Blue 5 1/4″ square. When all sewn together they’ll create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle.)
Sky Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Lt. Blue 3 7/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle.)

Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/4″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 1/4″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles.)
Red: Cut ONE (1) 2 7/8″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the White 3 5/8″ square. Which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
Red: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These squares are paired with the White/Blue Half-Square Triangles.)
Red: Cut ONE (1) 3 5/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the Green 2 1/4″ x 3 7/8″ rectangles.)
