Rocky Road Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Tan: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (ONE (1) of these will be sewn in Row #2 & the other ONE (1) will be sewn in the left-hand corner portion.)
- Tan: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips. (ONE (1) of these will be sewn into Row #1 & the other ONE (1) will be sewn in the left-hand corner portion.)
- Light Brown: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square. (This will be sewn in the left-hand corner portion.)
- Light Brown: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strip. (This will be sewn into Row #2 & will be flanked one ONE (1) side by the Tan 3 1/2″ square & it will be flanked on the other side by the Brown 3 1/2″ square.)
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square. (This will be sewn into Row #2 & it will flank a Tan 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strip.)
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strip. (This will be sewn into Row #1.)
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 6 1/2″ square. (This will be paired with the left-hand corner portion of this quilt block, it will also be the right-hand portion of this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) Rocky Road Quilt Blocks, to end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.

I like this pattern but want to know how much material I need to purchase to make this quilt. I have a hard time figuring out the yardage.
Hi Jackie! That isn’t something that I provide. But it should be rather easy for you to figure out! If you make one block then count the yardage used & multiply it for the number of blocks you need to make the quilt the size you want it!
