Indian Trail Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Brown: Cut TWO (2) 3″ squares. (These are the TWO (2) of the corners of this quilt block.)
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 4″ x 7 1/4″ strip. (This will be flanked by the results of the White 5 3/4″ square, which will also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank both ends of the Brown 4″ x 7 1/4″ strip, which will also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Brown: Cut SIX (6) 3 1/4″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 1/4″ squares to create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3″ squares. (These are the TWO (2) of the corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut SIX (6) 3 1/4″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw ea diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the White 3 1/4″ squares to create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 5 3/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the Brown 4″ x 7 1/4″ strip, which will also be the center of this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) Indian Trail Quilt Blocks, you will end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
