Star Power: Pale Star Quilt Block & Pale Star Variation Quilt Block

Pale Star Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Dark Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares.
  • Dark Blue: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • Medium Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/4″ squares.  Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/4″ squares.  Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 6 1/2″ square.

Pale Star Variation Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Dark Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares.
  • Dark Blue: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • Dark Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/4″ square. On the back side of the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Medium Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/4″ squares.  Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Medium Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/4″ square. On the back side of the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (2) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.

  • Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 4″ squares.
  • Green: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 2″ squares.
  • Green: Cut ONE (1) 1 3/4″ square.
  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares.
  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 3/4″ x 4″ strips.
