Church Windows Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12â€³ finished block (scant 1/4â€³ seam allowance):

(Ed. Note: This can be a scrappy quilt block! No need to follow my color suggestions. Just pull out your scraps & use whatever you have to make this quilt block!)

Bright Pink: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired on ONE (1) side, with the White
2 1/2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
Blue: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are pairedÂ on ONE (1) side, with the White 2 1/2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired on TWO (2) sides, with the White 2 1/2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
Purple: Cut THREE (3) 2 1/2″ squares. (TWO (2) of these are paired on ONE (1) side with the White 2 1/2″ squares. The other ONE (1) is paired on TWO (2) sides with the White 2 1/2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut SIX (6) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Bright Pink 2 1/2″ squares, the Blue 2 1/2″ squares, the Green 2 1/2″ squares & the Purple 2 1/2″ squares. As needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 1 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ rectangles. (These will be the left & right borders of this quilt block.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 1 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ rectangles. (These will be the top & bottom borders of this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) â€œChurch Windows Quilt Blocks,â€ you will end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.

Apple Pie Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This will be flanked by the Red 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles & it’ll be the center of this quilt block.)
Red: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These will flank the Pink 4 1/2″ square. Which will create a “frame” around the center of this quilt block.)
Green: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the Light Pink 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
Light Pink: Cut EIGHT (8) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Green 5 1/4″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
Light Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Red 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12â€³ finished block (scant 1/4â€³ seam allowance):

Blue: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 2″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Blue 2″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 3″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Blue 2″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles & the White 2″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles. Which will create SIXTEEN (16) Snowball Corners as needed for this quilt block.)

Purple: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These will be the upper left-hand corner & lower right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
Purple: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 4 1/2″ squares. Which will create a Four-Patch & be the center of this quilt block.)
Purple: Cut EIGHT (8) 3″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3″ squares & will create SIXTEEN (16) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These will be the lower left-hand corner & upper right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Purple 4 1/2″ squares. Which will create a Four-Patch & be the center of this quilt block.)

White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Aqua 4 1/2″ squares. Which will create a Four-Patch & will be center of this quilt block.)
White: Cut TEN (10) 3″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Aqua 3″ squares, which will create TWENTY (20) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
