No Name Quilt Block Free Pattern for a 12" quilt block at QuiltTherapy.com!

No Name Quilt Block




Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These will be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
  • Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 3 1/4″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will flank the White 2″ squares & the White 2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangle. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2″ squares. (These will be flanked by the results of the Blue 3 1/4″ square & the White 2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangle. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These will be paired with the White 2″ squares & the White 2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangle. Which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares. (These will flank the White 5″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 5″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will be flanked by the White
    4 1/2″ squares. They’ll also help create the corner’s of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will be flanked by the results of the Blue 3 1/4″ squares. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangle. (This will be paired with the White 2″ squares. Which will create TWO (2) of the Snowball Corners. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Purple: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square. (This will be the center of this quilt block.)
  • Purple: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 4 1/4″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Purple: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Purple: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are flanked by the results of the Purple 2 1/2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWELVE (12) 2″ squares. (These will flank the results of the Purple 2 1/2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are flanked by the results of the Purple 2 1/2″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)

  • Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Pink: Cut TWO (2) 4″ squares. (These are paired with the White 4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
