Acorn Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12â€³ finished block (scant 1/4â€³ seam allowance):

Tan: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 3/8″ squares, which will create SIXTEEN (16) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles will be the center of this quilt block.)
Tan: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the White
4 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block)
White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 3/8″ squares. On the back side of each square, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Tan 2 3/8″ squares, which will create SIXTEEN (16) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles will be the center of this quilt block.)
White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the Tan
4 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are flanked with either the results of the Tan
4 1/4″ squares, or the results of the White 4 1/4″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (2) 2″ x 3 1/2″ strips. (These are flanked by either the Tan 2 3/8″ squares, or the White 2 3/8″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)

Rose: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 7/8â€³ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Lt. Gray 3 7/8â€³ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)

Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Pink 2 1/2″ x
4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Yellow 2 1/2″ x
4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
Pink: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Youâ€™ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the White 3 3/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)

Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Lt. Green 2 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
Green: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will flank the results of the Lt. Green 2 7/8″ squares & the results of the White 6 7/8″ squares. As needed for this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 6 1/8″ square. (This is flanked by the results of the Lt. Green 2 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. It’s also the center of this quilt block.)
