Cutting Requirements for 12â€³ finished block (precise 1/4â€³ seam allowance):

Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 7/8″ squares.
Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 7/8″ x 3 3/8″ strips.
White: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 7/8″ squares.
White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
White: Cut ONE (1) 9 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.

Hill and Valley Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12â€³ finished block (precise 1/4â€³ seam allowance):

Brown: Cut TWO (2) 4 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
Brown: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. You only need SIX (6) of these triangles for this quilt block.
White: Cut TWO (2) 6 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.

Gray: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square.
Gray: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
White: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares.
White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.

Light Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ strip. (This is the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block.)
Medium Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with each other. ONE (1) of them is the upper left-hand corner of this quilt block. ONE (1) other one is the lower right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
Dark Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ strip. (This is the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
