Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Ecru: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Tan 4 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)
- Tan: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Ecru 4 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles.)
- Light Peach: Cut SIX (6) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank THREE (3) sides of the Peach 3 3/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares. They are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Ash Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the remaining side of the Peach 3 3/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares. They are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Peach: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- Peach: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ squares. (These will be flanked on THREE (3) sides by the results of the Light Peach 2 7/8″ squares and on the ONE (1) remaining side by the results of the Ash Green 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares. They are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
