Quilted Kitchen: Peach Cobbler Quilt Block & Peach Cobbler Recipe

Peach Cobbler Quilt Block Free Pattern for a 12" quilt block at QuiltTherapy.com!Peach Cobbler Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Ecru: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Tan 4 7/8″ squares, and will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Tan: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Ecru 4 7/8″ squares, and will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Light Peach: Cut SIX (6) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank THREE (3) sides of the Peach 3 3/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Square’s, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Ash Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the remaining side of the Peach 3 3/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Square’s, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Peach: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This will be the center of this quilt block.)
  • Peach: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ squares. (These will be flanked on THREE (3) sides by the results of the Light Peach 2 7/8″ squares and on the remaining side by the results of the Ash Green
    2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Square’s, as needed for this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Turquoise: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 1/2″ squares. (These will be the cornerstones to the White 1 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ strips as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Turquoise: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips. (These will be flanked, on both sides by the results of the White 4″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Light Green: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These will be flanked on all FOUR (4) sides by the White 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips, they will also create a Square in a Square, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Light Green: Cut TWO (2) 7 1/4″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. You only need SIX (6) of these triangles for this quilt block. (These will flank the Turquoise 1 1/2″ squares, and the White
    3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank both sides, of the Turquoise 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ strips. (These will flank on all FOUR (4) sides, the Light Green 3 1/2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Brown: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips. (These Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These will be paired with the TWO (2) Gray  3 1/2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Brown: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips. (These will be flanked by the Gray 3 1/2″ squares & the Brown 3 1/2″ squares  as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Brown: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These will be paired with the Gray 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips, which will create TWO (2) Snowball Corners, as needed for this quilt block.
  • Gray: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These will be paired with the TWO (2) Gray  3 1/2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Gray: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips. (These will be flanked by the Gray 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Gray: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips. (These will be paired with the Brown 3 1/2″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Snowball corners, as needed for this quilt block.)

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This will be flanked on all FOUR (4) sides by the White
    2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ strips. It’ll also the center of this quilt block.)
  • Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ strips. (These will flank the White 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ strips on one side, and the results of the White 4″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked on both sides, by the White 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ strips & the Blue 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ strips, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ strips. (These will flank the Blue 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ strips on one side, and the Blue 4 2/3″ square on the other side, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Blue 2 3/4″ x
    4 3/4″ strips, they will also be the FOUR (4) corners, as needed for this quilt block.)

  • Brown: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank both ends of the Brown 4″ x 7 1/4″ strip, which will also be the center, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Brown: Cut SIX (6) 3 1/4″ squares. (These will be paired with the White 3 1/4″ squares to create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles as needed for this quilt block.)
