Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Lt. Peach: Cut FOUR (4) 2 5/8″ squares. (These are paired with the results of the White 4 1/4″ squares. Then they’re paired with the results of the Lt. Peach 3 7/8″ squares, as well as being paired with the results of the Rust 7 1/4″ squares. All together they’ll create FOUR (4) Flying Geese as needed for this quilt block.)
- Peach: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the White 3 1/4″ squares & they’re also paired with the results of the Lt. Peach 2 5/8″ squares. In addition to being paired with the results of the Rust 7 1/4″ square. All together they’ll create FOUR (4) Flying Geese as needed for this quilt block.
- Rust: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Lt. Peach 2 5/8″ squares & they’re also paired with the results of the White 4 1/4″ squares. Then they’re paired with the results of the Peach 3 7/8″, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the results of the Rust 7 1/4″ square.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They’re flanked by the results of the Rust 7 1/4″ square, as well as being flanked by the results of the Peach 3 7/8″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will flank the Peach 2 5/8″ squares.They’ll also flank the results of the Rust 7 1/4″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)

- Lt. Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 5/8″ squares. (These are paired with the results of the White 4 1/4″ squares. Then they’re paired with the results of the Green 3 7/8″ squares, as well as being paired with the results of the Dk. Green 7 1/4″ squares. All together they’ll create FOUR (4) Flying Geese as needed for this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the White 3 1/4″ squares & they’re also paired with the results of the Lt. Green 2 5/8″ squares. In addition to being paired with the results of the Dk. Green 7 1/4″ square. All together they’ll create FOUR (4) Flying Geese as needed for this quilt block.)
- Dk. Green: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Lt. Green 2 5/8″ squares & they’re also paired with the results of the White 4 1/4″ squares. Then they’re paired with the results of the Green 3 7/8″, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They’re flanked by the results of the Rust 7 1/4″ square, as well as being flanked by the results of the Peach 3 7/8″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the Green 3 7/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Green 2 5/8″ squares. They’ll also flank the results of the Dk. Green 7 1/4″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
