Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Dk. Green: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/8″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the Green 3 1/4″ squares.)
- Dk. Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create SIXTEEN (16) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will be flanked by the results of the Green 3 1/4″ squares, which will create SIXTEEN (16) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 9 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Flying Geese as needed for this quilt block.)
