Rosette Star Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Lt. Pink: Cut FOUR (4) 2 5/8″ squares. (These squares are paired with the results of the Bright Pink 4 1/4″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Lt. Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Bright Pink 4 1/4″ squares & they’re also paired with the results of the Bright Pink 3 7/8″ squares. All are needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Bright Pink: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the White 3 1/2″ corner squares. They’re also paired with the Lt. Pink 2 5/8″ squares & they’re paired with the results of the Lt. Pink 4 1/4″ square. All are needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Bright Pink: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the Lt. Pink 2 5/8″ squares. They’re also paired with the results of the Bright Pink 3 7/8″ squares. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block when it’s sewn together.)
- Bright Pink: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the Lt. Pink 2 3/8″ squares. They’re also paired with the results of the Bright Pink 4 1/4″ square. In addition they’re paired with the results of the Lt. Pink 4 1/4″ square. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block when this quilt block is sewn together.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the Bright Pink 4 1/4″ squares. They’re also flanked by the results of the Lt. Pink 4 1/4″ square. In addition they’re flanked by the Lt. Pink 2 3/8″ squares. All are needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They’re flanked by the results of the Bright Pink 4 1/4″ squares.)
