Airplane Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. ONE (1) of these Half-Square Triangles is also the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
• Blue: Cut TWO (2) 6 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Yellow/White Half-Square Triangles as needed to sew this quilt block together. ONE (1) of these triangles is also the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Yellow 2 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. ONE (1) of these Half-Square Triangles is also the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the Blue
  6 7/8″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
