Road to California Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are flanked by the results of the Green 7 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2″ squares which will create a Sixteen-Patch. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the Yellow 3 7/8″ squares,
- White: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 2″ squares. which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
