Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Teal: Cut FIVE (5) 4 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will flank the Lt. Blue 3″ squares which will create FIVE (5) Square in a Squares. ONE (1) of these Square in a Squares is the center of this quilt block. The remaining FOUR (4) of these Square in a Squares are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Lt. Blue: Cut FIVE (5) 3″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the Teal 4 3/8″ squares which will create FIVE (5) Square in a Squares. ONE (1) of these Square in a Squares is the center of this quilt block. The remaining FOUR (4) of these Square in a Squares are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Lt. Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 5″ squares. (These are paired with the Square in a Squares.)
- White: Cut TEN (10) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Teal 4 3/8″ squares which will create FIVE (5) more Square in a Squares. ONE (1) of these Square in a Squares is the center of this quilt block. The remaining FOUR (4) of these Square in a Squares are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)

Sew TWELVE (12) “The Old Grey Goose Quilt Blocks” to end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished & 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
