City Streets Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Rust: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They’re “framed” by the White 1 1/2″ squares. They’re also “framed” by the White 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles.)
- Rust: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These will “frame” the White 4 1/2″ square in the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. Once they’re sewn together they’ll “frame” the Rust 3 1/2″ squares in the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s “framed” by the Rust 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Rust 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. They’re also paired with the White 1 1/2″ squares. Once they’re sewn together they’ll create a “frame” around the Rust 3 1/2″ squares in the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Rust 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles.)

Sew TWELVE (12) “City Streets Quilt Blocks” to end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished & 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
