On Cloud Nine: Center Nine-Patch Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Lt. Blue: Cut THREE (3) 2 1/4″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue 2 1/4″ squares. They’re also paired with the Dk. Blue 2 1/4″ squares. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll create a Nine-Patch in the center of this quilt block.)
- Lt. Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Sky Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/4″ x 3 7/8″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Blue 2 1/4″ x
3 7/8″ rectangles on TWO (2) sides. They’re also paired with the Lt. Blue 3 7/8″ squares on TWO (2) other sides.) - Blue: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/4″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 2 1/4″ squares. They’re also paired with the Dk. Blue 2 1/4″ squares. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll create a Nine-Patch in the center of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/4″ x 3 7/8″ rectangles. (These are paired on ONE (1) side with the Blue 2 1/4″ x 3 7/8″ rectangles. Then they’re paired on ONE (1) other side with the Dk. Blue 2 1/4″ x 3 7/8″ rectangles.)
- Dk. Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/4″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 2 1/4″ squares. They’re also paired with the Blue 2 1/4″ squares. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll create a Nine-Patch in the center of this quilt block.)
- Dk. Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/4″ x 3 7/8″ rectangles. (These are paired on TWO (2) sides with the Blue 2 1/4″ x 3 7/8″ rectangles. Then they’re paired on TWO (2) other sides with the Lt. Blue 3 7/8″ squares in the corners of this quilt block.)
