Glitter Star Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 5/8″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the White 2 5/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut FIVE (5) 3 1/2″ squares. (ONE (1) of these is the center of this quilt block. They’re all paired with the Square in a Squares as needed for this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Flying Geese on TWO (2) sides as needed for this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are flanked by the results of the White 2 3/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 5/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Lilac 2 5/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 5/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Lilac 4 1/4″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
