Puzzle Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Yellow: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 1/2″ x 2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
• Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 2 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2  3/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
• Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Rust 1 1/2″ x 2″ rectangles, as well as the White 2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Rust: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 3/8″ squares which will create SIXTEEN (16) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles will be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
• Rust: Cut TWENTY (20) 1 1/2″ x 2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Yellow 1 1/2″ x 2″ rectangles, as well as the White 2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Rust: Cut TWO (2) 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Yellow 1 1/2″ x 2″ rectangles, as well as the White 2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 2 3/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Yellow 2  3/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 3/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Rust 2  3/8″ squares which will create SIXTEEN (16) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles will be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Yellow 1 1/2″ x 2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Rust 1 1/2″ x 2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
