Crow’s Foot Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Yellow: Cut TEN (10) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create TWENTY (20) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles will be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block & FOUR (4) more will be the center of this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are flanked on ONE (1) side by the results of the White 3 1/4″ squares. They’re also flanked on ONE (1) other side by the White 2 1/2″ squares & the results of the White 3 1/4″ squares. As needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 1/4″ squares & they’ll flank the results of the Yellow 4 7/8″ squares. As needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TEN (10) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back sides, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create TWENTY (20) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles will be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block & FOUR (4) more will be the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the White
2 1/2″ squares & they’ll flank the results of the Yellow 4 7/8″ squares. As needed for this quilt block.)
