Pineapple Variation Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Bright Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square. (This will be flanked on TWO (2) sides, by the White 2 3/8″ squares, which will make TWO (2) Snowball Corner’s. It will also create the first Snowball Corner & be the center of this quilt block.)
• Bright Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the results of the Yellow 4 1/4″ square, which will create the second Snowball Corner, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Bright Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the results of the Yellow 3 7/8″ squares, which will create the third Snowball Corner, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the results of the Bright Yellow 3 1/2″ square & the White 2 3/8″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
• Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the results of the Bright Yellow
  3 7/8″ square & the White 3 7/8″ square, which will create the second Snowball Corner, as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Bright Yellow 3 1/2″ square, which will create TWO (2) Snowball Corner’s & the first Square in a Square. It will also be the center of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the results of the Yellow 7 1/4″ square, which will create the second Snowball Corner, as needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the results of the Yellow 3 7/8″ squares, which will create the third Snowball Corner, as needed for this quilt block.)
