Lover’s Lane Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Teal: Cut FIVE (5) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create TEN (10) Half-Square Triangles. EIGHT (8) of the HST’s will help create the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block. ONE (1) of these HST’s will be the center of this quilt block.)
- Teal: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the White 3 3/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TEN (10) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are flanked on two sides by the results of the Teal 2 7/8″ squares. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FIVE (5) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Teal 2 7/8″ squares which will create TEN (10) Half-Square Triangles. EIGHT (8) of the HST’s will help create the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block. ONE (1) of these HST’s will be the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ squares. (These will be flanked on all FOUR (4) sides, by the Teal 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares, as needed for this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Lover’s Lane Quilt Blocks,” you will end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
