Cups & Saucers Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Mocha: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This will be the center of this quilt block.)
- Mocha: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Cream 4 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Mocha: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Cream 5 1/4″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Cream: Cut TWO 4 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Mocha 4 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Cream: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per triangle. (These will be flanked by the Mocha 2 7/8″ squares. which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
