Indian Trail Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Brown: Cut TWO (2) 3″ squares. (These will be used for TWO (2) of the corners as needed for this quilt block.)
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 4″ x 7 1/4″ strip. (This will be flanked by the results of the White 5 3/4″ square, which will also be the center, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank both ends of the Brown 4″ x 7 1/4″ strip, which will also be the center, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Brown: Cut SIX (6) 3 1/4″ squares. (These will be paired with the White 3 1/4″ squares to create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3″ squares. (These will be used for TWO (2) of the corners as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut SIX (6) 3 1/4″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These will be paired with the White 3 1/4″ squares to create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 5 3/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the Brown 4″ x 7 1/4″ strip, which will also be the center, as needed for this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Indian Trail Quilt Blocks,” you will end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
