Repeat X Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 3/8″ squares & will help create the center of this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 2 7/8″ square. (This is paired with the Pink 2 7/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. It’s also the center of this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut THREE (3) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (TWO (2) of these triangles will flank the Yellow 3 3/8″ squares. The remaining FOUR (4) triangles will be paired with the results of the Pink 2 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Pink: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 3/8″ squares & will help create the center of this quilt block.)
- Pink: Cut ONE (1) 3″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank ONE (1) end of the Pink 3 1/2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
- Pink: Cut ONE (1) 2 7/8″ square. (This is paired with the Yellow 2 7/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. It’s also the center of this quilt block.)
- Pink: Cut THREE (3) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (TWO (2) of these triangles will flank the Pink 3 3/8″ squares. The remaining FOUR (4) triangles will be paired with the results of the Yellow 2 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
- Pink: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corner’s of this block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Yellow 3 7/8″ squares & the Pink 3 7/8″ squares. Which will help create the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Pink 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Repeat X Quilt Blocks,” you’ll end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
