Shepherd’s Crossing Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Light Gray: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These will be flanked by either the Blue 2″ x 3 1/2″ strips or the Blue 2″ x 5″ strips.)
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 3 1/2″ strips. (These will flank the left or right Light Gray 3 1/2″ squares.)
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 5″ strips. (These will flank the top or bottom Light Gray 3 1/2″ squares.)
- Blue: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/4″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These will be flank either the White 2″ x 5 1/4″ strips or the White 2″ x 6 3/4″ strips to create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 5 1/4″ strips. (These will be flanked by the results of the Blue 2 1/4″ squares to create Snowball Corners on one end, so these will become the FOUR (4) horizontal center strips needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 6 3/4″ strips. (These will be flanked by the results of the Blue 2 1/4″ squares to create Snowball Corners on one end, so these will become the FOUR (4) vertical center strips needed for this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Shepherd’s Crossing Quilt Blocks,” you will end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
