Crossroads to Texas Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Yellow: Cut SIX (6) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (FOUR (4) of these are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They all flank the results of the White 2 1/2″ squares.)
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 1 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Nine-Patch. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut TWELVE (12) 2 5/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 5/8″ squares, which will create TWENTY-FOUR (24) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FIVE (5) 1 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue 1 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Nine-Patch. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 7/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles. (These are paired with the results of the Blue 2 5/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWELVE (12) 2 5/8″ squares. On the back sides, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Blue 2 5/8″ squares, which will create TWENTY-FOUR (24) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
