Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Red: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 1/2″ squares & the Gold 3 1/2″ squares. Which will create TWO (2) Four-Patch squares. They’re also the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
- Gold: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 1/2″ squares & the Red
3 1/2″ squares. Which will create TWO (2) Four-Patch squares. They’re also the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block.) - Orange: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. (These are paired with the White 6 7/8″ squares which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the lower left-hand & upper right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Red 3 1/2″ squares & the Gold 3 1/2″ squares. Which will create TWO (2) Four-Patch squares. They’re also the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Orange 6 7/8″ squares which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the lower left-hand & upper right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
