Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Brown: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the results of the White
4 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.) - Brown: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the results of the Brown 4 1/2″ square as needed for this quilt block.)
- Brown: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/2″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the White 4 1/2″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/2″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Brown 4 1/2″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 6 7/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will flank the results of the Brown
4 7/8″ squares & the Brown 4 1/2″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
