Straw Flower Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Navy Blue: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Sky Blue 2 7/8″ squares & the White 2 1/2″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Split Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
• Sky Blue: Cut SIX (6) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles will be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
• Sky Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Navy Blue 4 7/8″ squares & the White 2 1/2″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Split Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the results of the Navy Blue 4 7/8″ squares & the Sky Blue 2 7/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Split Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
• White: Cut FOUR (2) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are flanked on ONE (1) end by the results of the Sky Blue 2 7/8″ square & they’re flanked on ONE (1) other end by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares. As needed for this quilt block.)
• White: Cut Cut SIX (6) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Sky Blue 2 7/8″ squares which will create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles will be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
