Grape Basket Quilt Block




Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Lilac:  Cut TWO (2) 2 3/4″ x 7 3/4″ strips.
  • Lilac:  Cut ONE (1) 5 1/2″ square.  Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.  You will end up with TWO (2) triangles – you only need ONE (1) of them for this quilt block.
  • Lilac:  Cut ONE (1) 2 3/4″ square.
  • Lilac:  Cut THREE (3) 3 1/4″ squares.  Then on the back side of the squares, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Brown:  Cut ONE (1) 5 1/2″ square.
  • Brown:  Cut THREE (3) 3 1/4″ squares.
  • Yellow:  Cut ONE (1) 5 1/2″ square.  Then on the back side of the squares, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Yellow:  Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. Then on the back side of the squares, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Green:  Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. Then on the back side of the squares, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Melon:  Cut THREE (3) 3 1/4″ squares.  Then on the back side of the squares, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Salmon:  Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares.
