Quilt Therapy Year in Review
Do you ever feel like you spend all your time treading water and never really swimming anywhere? I think that’s how I’d sum up 2009 for myself (personally) and for our family. Good things happened, bad things happened – but, I don’t feel as if I’ve gone anywhere. So, I thought I’d take this opportunity to really see if I’ve moved forward with regard to my creativity & quilt therapy:

- Quilted Wine Glass Coasters (and I still owe a set to Ms. Mac in the Village of the Damned a set of)
3) March 2009:
- Casket Cover and Prayer Shawl made for the precious Mrs. Stone
- Have a Heart wall hangings made & quilted for Easter
- Mystery Quilt Dash launched
4) April 2009:
- BOMquilts.com mentioned in Better Homes & Gardens
- Published in a book about working from home by Mary Byers
5) May 2009:
- Strip quilting lesson given for local quilt group
- New Quilt Block designed for Mark Lipinski’s “Krakow” fabric line
- Quilt completed and gifted to the retiring Girl Scout Executive Director
- Wall Hanging put together for church friend and donated to local children’s center
- Banner made for kids’ Sacred Arts class at church
6) June 2009:
- Quilt designed and made for Christmas in July at BOMquilts.com
- Quilt made and delivered to my brother in Missouri
- Quilt made and delivered to my niece in Missouri who graduated from high school
7) July 2009:
- Helped my middle daughter and a Girl Scout sister learn to make quilts
- Published in a book about webmaster work by Bruce C. Brown & Charlotte Evans
- Designed & made Christmas card holder for BOMquilts.com Christmas in July
8) August 2009:
- Designed and made prayer shawl for our re-retiring pastor
- Made tote bags galore! and more here!
- Launched Quilt Designer News website
9) September 2009:
- ummm, don’t see that I did anything! eeek
10) October 2009:
- Finished piecing “Krazy Krakow”
- Attended Quilt Market in Houston and here and here and here and here
- Made chair covers for middle daughter’s science teacher’s classroom
11) November 2009:
- Made crazy quilt top with Christmas fabrics
- Made quilt for SIL’s boyfriend
- Made and taught local quilt group to make teacup pincushions
- Launched Quilt Fabric Sale
- Local quilt group completed and donated quilt to local volunteer fire department fundraiser
12) December 2009:
