Quilted Kitchen: Blueberry Quilt Block & Blueberry Pie Recipe
Blueberry Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles.)
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- Light Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the Green 3″ squares.)
- Navy Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)
- Navy Blue: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 3″ squares, which will create an additional FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Green 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Navy Blue 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. (These are flanked by the results of the Navy Blue 3″ squares, which will create an additional FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)

If you make TWELVE (12) Blueberry Quilt Blocks, to end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
