Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 5/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the White 3 3/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Square’s, for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Blue 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the Blue 2 5/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Square’s, for this quilt block.)
