Four Patch Variable Stars Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Plum: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square.
  • Plum: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square.
  • Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Green: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square.
  • Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Barn Red: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square.
  • Barn Red: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Yellow: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares.
  • Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares.
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square.

  • Blue: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 2 1/2″ square.
  • Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Green: Cut ONE (1) 2 1/2″ square.
  • Purple: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Purple: Cut ONE (1) 2 1/2″ square.
  • Turquoise: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Turquoise: Cut ONE (1) 2 1/2″ square.
  • Yellow: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square.

Nameless Star Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.

Frayed Sawtooth Star Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Gold: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Blue: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares.
  • Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares.
  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 3 1/2″ strips.
