Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the White 3″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (2) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are flanked on TWO (2) sides, by the results of the White 3″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. On the back side of each square, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Blue 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Blue
    5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the Blue 3″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)

  • Salmon: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Salmon: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the White 3″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)

  • Teal: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. You only need TWO (2) of these triangles for this quilt block. (These are paired with the results of the Aqua 3 1/4″ squares, which will create ONE (1) Quarter-Square Triangle. It’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
  • Teal: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
  • Teal: Cut TWO (2) 5″ squares. (These are paired with the White 5″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ squares. (These will flank the results of the Aqua 3 1/4″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Teal 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. You only need TWO (2) of these triangles for this quilt block. (These are flanked by Aqua 2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 5″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Teal 5″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
