I have a Chevron quilt block, quilt block. Does that make any sense? 🙂
Every time I think of the modern quilter’s love of using Chevron’s in quilts, all I see in my mind is this:
Am I the only one who is having visions of Charlie Brown’s shirt when looking at quilts and quilt projects that call for Chevrons?

Are you ready for the BOMquilts.com 2015 block of the month quilt? It’s almost time to launch it! I have all of my blocks made and the basic quilt top sewn together. Just need to add some borders and then we can begin! My plan is to launch it on or near January 20, 2015.

My 2015 block of the month quilt for BOMquilts.com has been designed and I have the fabric for it, sponsored by Abbi May’s Fabric Shop. All I’m lacking is the super-de-dupter Aurifil thread to reach me from Italy. I am excited about this new design and will have it made before the BOM even starts in January 2015. The fabric is from the Veracruz line and it is bright and bold – just perfect for this quilt project!
I merged some modern block designs with some tried-and-true classic block designs to create “Modern Framed Classics.” Here are a couple of photos of the blocks:
