Snail’s Tail Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Peach: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips.
  • Peach: Cut THREE (3) 3 3/4″ squares. On the back side draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Peach: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strip.
  • White: Cut THREE (3) 3 3/4″ squares.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ strip.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.

Old Italian Design Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Red: Cut ONE (1) 6 3/4″ square.
  • Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 6 3/4″ strips.
  • Green: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Dark Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/4″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.

  • Medium Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ squares

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Tan: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. Then draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, on the back side of each square.
  • Mustard: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • Dark Brown: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ x 6 3/4″ strips. Cut TWO (2) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
