Granny's Choice Quilt Block Free Pattern at QuiltTherapy.com!

Cut TWO (2) 2 3/4″ squares.

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Green: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/4″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Green: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips.
  • Green: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 3/4″ squares.
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 3 3/4″ squares.
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ strips.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2 3/4″ squares.

Swamp Patch Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  1. Pink: Cut TWO (2) 5″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  2. Pink: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. You only need TWO (2) of these triangles for this quilt block.
  3. Red: Cut TWO) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square.
  4. Maroon: Cut TWO (2) 5″ squares.
  5. Maroon: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.

  • Red: Cut TWO (2) 4 3/4″ squares.
  • Red: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square (you only need TWO (2) triangles for this quilt block).
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares.
