Star Power: Galactic Star Quilt Block & Galactic Star Variation Quilt Block

Galactic Star Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Red: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares.
  • Navy Blue: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square.
  • Blue: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Navy Blue: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square.
  • Red: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.

Ribbon Star Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Red: Cut SIX (6) 3 3/4″ squares.
  • White: Cut SIX (6) 3 3/4″ squares. Then draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, on the back side of each square.
  • White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares.

Ornate Star Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Light Pink: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 3/4″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • Light Pink: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (1) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • Blue: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (1) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (1) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • Turqouise: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/4″ squares.
  • Turquoise: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square.

  • Light Pink: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (1) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • Green: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (1) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square.
  • Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut each square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (1) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
  • Tan: Cut FIVE (5) 3 1/4″ squares.

Prickly Pear Quilt Block




Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Purple:  Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares.
  • Pink:  Cut TWELVE (12) 2 1/4″ squares.
  • White:  Cut TWELVE (12) 2 1/4″ squares. Then on the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then on the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • White:  Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares.
