Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Navy Blue: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are flanked by the results of the Gold
3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block as needed when it’s sewn together.) - Gold: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the results of the Navy Blue 7 1/4″ square which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block as needed when it’s sewn together.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ rectangles. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block as needed when it’s sewn together.)
